Being allergic to latex Iโ€™m always worried seeing these things done with balloons. Do they make special balloons that wonโ€™t risk contaminating the food?

Yes, I think they do. You can also use silicone molds.

Thatโ€™s good to know. I think if I had the patience to do this Iโ€™d rather use the molds then risk the balloon.
