Certainly nothing wrong with that. Adopt it in a humble fashion and doubtless you’ll have the same results I’ve had. It does wonders with diffusing situations.
about the speaking formally thing, I usually end up subconsciously adopting other people’s mannerisms, as opposed to doing it to impress. So if I’m like… reading through your blog, I’ll probably end up speaking in formal English for the rest of the day
