Ah…Well, they aren’t intended to be lessons in that sense. I don’t think your vocabulary needs improving. I simply don’t want them dying out and thought that it might serve as some entertainment.
Thought I’d share some of my favorite sheet-masks for managing several different skincare concerns that I struggle with regularly. (oily, combination, & acne prone)
*Typically, you’re supposed to sheet-mask after cleansing and using toner. After masking, then you can continue with the rest of your skincare routine.
Goodal Black Charcoal Mask($12) This is one of my favorite sheet-masks for oil & pore control and it is available in a handy 5-pack. Goodal is a Korean skincare brand that prioritizes the use of fermented botanical & medicinal ingredients. Commonly known as “hanbang.” Very rarely do I find a sheet-mask that actually minimizes my pores. Besides oil, it’s also great for drying up stubborn acne breakouts.
Mediheal H.D.P. Pore-Stamping Black Mask ($12) This sheet-mask brand is commonly used by K-pop superstars & is even said to be BTS (Bangtan Boys) favorite masks for managing their skin while performing concerts all across the world. Mediheal has a specialized sheet-mask for just about every skincare concern. This is my favorite for getting rid of excess oil & sebum. Plus it also has niacinamide which is one of my favorite ingredients for brightening & evening skin tone. Available in a 10-pack.
Tosowoong Pure Green Tea Mask ($12) These come in a 10-pack and you can select from Aloe, Green Tea, Blueberry, Propolis, and Snail. The Green Tea sheet-mask focuses on re-energizing and hydrating the skin and aims to rebalance moisture which is a major key in controlling oily skin. Extra bonuses include fighting wrinkles and brightening/evening the skin tone.
Whamisa Organic Fruits & Tomato Fermented Hydrogel ($9.98) I absolutely love this brand! Although it’s a bit pricier than the other options I mentioned, keep in mind that the ingredients are 95% organic with 100% all natural ingredients. This mask contains lactobacillus which can be found in yogurt! Simply put, it’s probiotics for the skin which is super helpful for treating and calming acne, rosacea, and red irritated skin.
TonyMoly Timeless Ferment Snail Eye Mask ($5) I’ll admit I haven’t ventured too deeply into the world of eye skincare. I’ve tried a few gimmicky lace eye sheet-masks but I did not find the results I wanted until I tried THESE. FERMENTED. SNAIL. ESSENCE. If it’s fermented I want it on mah face, immediately! These have a gentle yet divine scent that I can’t quite put my finger on. Works best for puffy and dark eye circles in need of brightening. Chill them in the fridge before using for best results.
Beauty Bloggers Note: A sheet-mask is not a “one & done” type of product. They work best when used consistently, as in every week. Daily if you want even better results. Taking care of your skin should be a long-term investment in YOU.

Thank you so much Tiffany for writing this post after I asked for your recommendations – this is such an amazing resource! ❤️😭
Glad to see humans are still liquefying snails to rub on their faces.
It isn’t the winning that is the trouble. It’s the refraining from killing everyone while participating. I am not allowed to watch food television anymore because I put a lamp through a television.
Many times. As you will discover if you read any of my work. It is a topic upon which many of my older stories tend to pivot, as I spent many centuries coming to terms with the reality of my condition in relation to that of the human race.
Not generally. You’re thinking of a “sorner”, and while I suppose a meech could sorn, it isn’t generally their form of theft. They prefer to steal one’s time with martyrdom and muttering.
adj. Something that is friendly or courteous to strangers or the uninitiated. Hospitable, amenable, easily understood.
This word isn’t terribly old, but it is one that has stopped being used to a great degree, and that truly troubles me. I’ve found that whenever a word falls from favor, the concept loses traction within a culture and tends to vanish also, to the point that, while people may rediscover it while looking for a word that fits their situation, fewer and fewer even recognize the importance of the idea or how it may have made the culture better.
This word is a fitting example. Xenodochial encapsulates a very important concept – that of the felicity with which one group can navigate the culture of another upon overlapping or collision. All its synonyms are object-oriented (like “user-friendly”), or have to do with etiquette (”hospitality”), rather than the simple utility and ease of access this word invokes. A culture that is xenodochial is one which is easy for a foreigner to comprehend, move within, integrate into, etcetera. It implies a sense of transparency, obviousness, honesty.
Example: “Some countries are very xenodochial due to signage printed in numerous widely known languages, all saying the same thing, allowing laws to be clearly understood and destinations mapped with ease.” or “If aliens ever did visit Earth, they would find that Western society is not terribly xenodochial, actually featuring many cultural trends that are entirely opposed to the inclusion of alien life – from movies about invasions, to “abductee” conspiracy theories.”
I think I would like to add this to a shirt on Zazzle. Do you think it’s good.
I’ve no qualms about that
….so I’m finding reasons to use this word, starting now.
I bet people could understand each other better if they adopted a xenodochial approach to communication.
